Lagos Friday downpour in pictures

Virtually all parts of Lagos metropolis were flooded, on Friday, following the downpour that would not abate for the most part of the day.

While commuters and motorists were stranded and held back in humongous traffic, some other parts of the state were almost submerged in the flood that followed the downpour.

The rains had started as early as 6:00a.m. of the day which rendered many homeless and some others unable to honour appointments and probably get to their work places.

Below are pictures of the ‘notorious’ Oke Afa canal which overflowed its banks and submerged many buildings on its way through Jakande Estate and Ago Palace Way, in the metropolis.
