Lagos ’23: Fashola has said it all – Ekudina, Pan Lagos NGO boss

Convener of a Pan-Lagos Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Ogbeni Ibrahim Ekudina, has said that Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, has said it all during the week when he declared that, governing Lagos has gone far beyond the reach of any politician lacking in superlative political knowledge and experience.

Ogbeni Ekudina, a member of two campaign groups, Sanwo-Olu for Governor Again (SAFOGA) and National Independent Campaign Organization for Tinubu (NICOT), satated this at a mini interactive session with newsmen at Ogba area of Lagos Saturday where he gave kudus to the Minister for calling spade a spade rather than describing it as a farm instrument.

Recall former Lagos State Governor between 2003 and 2015, Fashola, at the launch of ‘Eko Oni baje’ 10,000 foot soldiers held in Lagos for Tinubu/Shettima candidacy and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat re-election bid declared that, being a cameraman covering the governor is not a requisite experience to be governor, explain that, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was filming him when he was governor as one of his cameramen but he wrongly thought that exercise qualifies him to become governor.

According to Ekudina, the Senior Advocate has directly and indirectly agreed with his organization’s conviction that, “there is no vacancy yet at the Lagos Seat of Power at Alausa,” admitting that, governorship candidates of other political parties outside the APC should jettison the idea and work for the success of the APC candidate, Babajide Olusola Sanao-Olu, who has since been given the party’s go ahead to contest for a second term in office.

“We have said it in the past severally without number that, there is no vacancy yet at the Alausa Government House for any other person than the APC gubernatorial candidate, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent governor, insisting he is doing well and the people are satisfied and want him to continue the good work he has been doing since 2019 that he was given the people’s mandate to govern them,

Ekudina at this juncture signified the readiness of his group to join Fashola to urge party faithful not to hand over the state over to anyone lacking in political and electoral know-how to save guard flawless template the successive administration has been following since after the two tenures of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his actualizer son, Batunde Raji Fashola (SAN).
