The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) has advised Lagosians to obey the restriction directives of the Federal Government and the Lagos State Government in the efforts to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, stressing that the decisions were taken in the interest of the populace.

Speaking on the assessment of Day Two of the lockdown, Corps Marshal of LAGESC, CP Gbemisola Akinpelu (rtd), said the operatives of the Agency have been deployed to different locations for proper monitoring and compliance with the stay-at-home order.

While explaining that the operatives have also been mandated to sensitise some of the youths taking advantage of lack of vehicle movements on the roads to play soccer, she maintained that there is need for everyone to abide by the social distancing advice in their own interest.
