The Kwara Head of Service (HoS), Mrs Susan Oluwole on Tuesday warned that the Government will no longer tolerate truancy, late coming, negligence and poor attitude to duty from the state workers.
Oluwole gave the warning on Tuesday in Ilorin when he led a team to Kwara Secretariat to monitor compliance of workers to government’s directive on resumption time at work.
It would be recalled that the state Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on Monday locked scores of civil servants outside the main gate of the secretariat for late coming.

The governor had told the workers that lateness to work was unhelpful for government’s business in the 21st century.
Fielding questions from newsmen during the enforcement exercise, the HoS said the level of compliance by civil servants to the governor’s directive was impressive.
She disclosed that other teams were dispatched to Ministries of Health, Finance, Environment and Agriculture to ensure workers adherence to timely resumption.
Oluwole said the workers must inculcate the habits of resuming work at appropriate time without coercion and monitoring.
The Head of Service said she arrived at the Secretariat alongside her team around 7:24a.m. and opened a register on the resumption time for the workers which should be closed by 8.a.m.
Some of the ministries visited by the HoS for the enforcement exercise are, Information and Communications, Women Affairs, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Education and Human Capital Development, Culture and Tourism, among others. (NAN)
