Kogi Tribunal: Dino Melaye, others attacked in Abuja

There was pandemonium in the Federal Capital territory, Abuja, on Wednesday, as suspected sponsored thugs attacked a federal lawmaker, Sen. Dino Melaye.

He was not the only one attacked. Hon. Isah Ahmed a.k.a. Almajiri and Pastor Enejo Sani were also reportedly affected.

The attack occurred at the premises of Magistrate Court Wuse Zone 2, in Abuja where Governor Yahaya Bello and Engr. Musa Wada case were ongoing.

Sen. Melaye, in company of Hon. Isah Ameh, was addressing witnesses who came to court to testify on the ongoing election Tribunal case, as the tradition demands, the witness must be well prepared before appear in the court.

 Sen. Melaye, the immediate senator representing Kogi West, and Hon. Isah Ameh was the former chairman Ofu Local Government Area of the state and Enejoh Sani were already addressing the witnesses before the APC state Chiarman ordered the boys inside a standby bus to unleash the mayhem.

In his words, “The state chairman of the APC Hon Abdullahi Bello ordered the boys out and mandated them to kill us”.

It was gathered that Sen. Melaye and Hon. Ahmed were badly injured after the hoodlum tack them in Wuse Magistrate Court, the venue of the ongoing Kogi State Tribunal.

It was reported that the hoodlum came out of a nearby bush and unleashed the attack on Sen. Melaye who was also in company of Hon. Isah Ahmed.
