Five of the bandits making life unbearable for residents of Katsina State have met their waterloo, as the Katsina State Police Command killed them during a shootout at Mararabar Kankara in Kankara Council Area of the state.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Buba, who displayed corpses of the suspected bandits at the Command’s headquarters, said the bandits had been terrorising Malumfashi, Faskari, Dandume, Bakori, Kankara and Sabuwa council areas, and even extending their nefarious activities to neighbouring Zamfara and Kano states.

“Nemesis caught up with members of the gang when they were accosted along Mararabar Kankara road on their way to kidnap and rob at a location in Gwarzo Council Area of Kano State,” he stated.
The police boss said three AK47 rifles with four magazines loaded with 94 pieces of 7.62mm ammunition and two other AK47 rifles hidden at Mararabar Maigoro were recovered in their possession.
