In yet another case of high profile death in Kano State, northern Nigeria’s economic hub, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) was, on Monday, reported dead.
The deceased, ACP Atiku Nagodi, was aged 54 and died during a protracted illness.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the sad incident.

However, Haruna said his death was not related to Coronavirus.
“He did not die of Coronavirus. He died from a protracted illness,” the PPRO said.
The fallen officer was buried on Monday with police ceremony.
