Kano State has confirmed 27 new cases of COVID-19 and one death.
The state’s health ministry, on its verified Twitter handle, disclosed that the fresh cases have brought the total tally of confirmed cases recorded in the state to 693.
Kano currently has 546 COVID-19 confirmed cases; 74 patients had recovered and discharged but 33 persons had died.
“Update as at 11:50pm, May 12, 2020; 27 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed,” the tweet said.
“Total confirmed cases in Kano State now stand at 693, 11 additional COVID-19 patients discharged and one death recorded in the state,” it added.
