JUST IN: US reports 1,000 Coronavirus deaths in a 24-hour

No fewer than 1, 000 deaths were recorded in the United States in a 24-hour period, on Wednesday.

That was the first time the death rate had risen to that level since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
