President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, made it clear that Nigeria would neither negotiate with bandits nor pay ransom to secure the release of the over 200 abducted students in Kaduna State.
The president during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting firmly directed security personnel against such during the rescue operation.
Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, told State House Correspondents that the president expressly directed the security forces to go after the abductors and ensure the safe release of the captives without succumbing to ransom demands.
The kidnappers had invaded Government Secondary School and LEA primary school in Kuriga, Kaduna State and abducted about 280 students and teachers, setting off nationwide outrage.
