JUST IN: SERAP to Buhari: Probe alleged sending of expired rice as palliatives
The Socio – Economic Right And Accountability Project (SERAP) has demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari should investigate allegation that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is sending ‘expired’ rice to some states as palliative.
In a tweet from SERAP, on Monday, the group wrote, “: COVID-19: We’re calling on President Buhari to immediately probe allegation that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is sending ‘expired’ rice to some states as palliative.
“If it’s true, this will severely compromise people’s well-being and violate their right to food.”
