Notre Dame Cathedral which is in the heart of the French capital and a tourist attraction is a medieval building which took 200 years to construct and is presently 856 years old.
It was a sad sight as its roof collapsed amidst thick flames that engulfed the horizon. Hundreds of parisians and tourists watched from nearby bridges as the flames rose higher.
World Leaders including US president Donald Trump has sent his heartfelt condolences over the sad and terrible event.
