I’ve never met Tinubu physically, says Jandor, Lagos PDP guber candidate
Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran otherwise called Jandor, has denied insinuations that suggest that he is not a mole for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The reaction stems from rumours that he was planted in the PDP by the ruling party and that he is an ally of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate.
But Adediran, in an interview with NAN, said it would be illogical for him to be APC’s mole and “be giving them headaches.”

The gubernatorial candidate said though he was a member of the APC until January 2022, he has never met with Tinubu physically adding that he is ‘strongly determined’ to end APC’s reign in the state.
Said he, “It might be difficult for anybody to believe that I have never had a one-on-one meeting with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“I have not set my feet on his Bourdillon house. Yes, I was coming from APC, but I have never been elected nor appointed. I have only been a consultant on that corridor.”
On the crisis rocking the PDP at the national level, Adediran said the party has no problem that could affect its fortune in the 2023 elections, noting that the G5 governors are still major stakeholders in the party.
He continued, “For those who can take time to do a thorough diagnosis of the situation that is happening within the PDP, we know that PDP has no problem either at the national level or at the state level.

“None of the aggrieved governors is telling party members in their respective states to do otherwise on election day. They are major stakeholders in PDP business in their respective states.”
Jandor also dismissed reports that his candidacy was opposed by Bode George, a former PDP national deputy chairman.
“Chief Bode George never opposed my candidacy. He is my leader, he wants to see PDP win Lagos,” he added.
“I can assure you, he is on this 100 percent and we are together. We don’t have any issue. As a national leader.”
