Fifteen staff members of an international Non-Governmental Organisation have been abducted by the notorious Islamic State of West African Province fighters near Gumsuri village in Dambao Local Government Area of Borno State.
A security source confirmed the kidnapping yesterday lamenting that despite efforts to stop the activities of the insurgents, they continue to abduct innocent people.
It is not clear yesterday whether the insurgents have made contact with the families of the kidnapped victims. But checks with military authorities confirm that the kidnap victims with the exception of two who were released earlier are still in captivity.
