After promoting her daughter, Kachi’s beauty business, Ireti Doyle cannot distance herself from the same after it emerged her daughter scammed people, Nigerians say.
Ireti, on Monday, issued a disclaimer, on Instagram, telling the public that apart from being her biological daughter, she has no other business either her or her daughter’s beauty business.
“I have zero affiliation with or interest in Kachi Beauty Products and its board or proprietors,” the disclaimer said in part.
But the disclaimer issued by the popular TV personality didn’t sit well with many Nigerians who said, instead of denying her daughter, she should work with her to resolve whatever issues she has with her clients.
It emerged Ireti had promoted her daughter’s business in the past.
“After repeatedly promoting her daughter’s hair business on Instagram in the past, Ireti Doyle cannot suddenly extricate herself from it now that it has turned out to be a scam.
“Integrity-wise, the thing to do is work with your daughter to ensure the refund of the many people who paid her in the first place simply because they trusted you,” Fisayo Soyombo said on Twitter.
