No fewer than six banks in Owerri, the Imo State capital, have come under the hammer of the state for observing the sit-at- home order by the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB).

The affected banks had failed to open for business on Monday, because of fear that they might be attacked by IPOB members, thereby leaving their customers stranded.
