Prof. Yakubu’s tenure ends, on Monday, November 9, 2020.
He is expected to hand over the reins of the Commission to commissioners whose terms have not expired.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, believes that Yakubu’s reappointment as INEC chairman will serve as a momentum to credible elections in Nigeria.
