A former Lagos State Police boss, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, has assumed duty as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Nigeria Police Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS).
CP Edgal is posted by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Mohammed Adamu, to FASRS to redefine the unit, as well as tackle violent crimes in the country.
The new FSAR boss had also issued special hotlines, calling on citizens to report excesses of operatives of the unit across the country.

Recall that the MR. Edgal, who was Lagos State Police boss for 18 months, brought an end to the reign of Badoo boys in Lagos as well as arrested many other criminals.
Before his new appointment, he was the CP in charge of Akwa-Ibom State Police Command.
