Imo senator moves to improve food production

The senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, otherwise called Okigwe Zone, in the National Assembly, Sir Frank Ibezim, has beamed his light on improving food production in his constituency.

Consequently, the distinguished senator, who is ever out to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of his people, has donated several bags of fertilizer and seedlings to farmers in the zone.

Speaking on his unwavering, continued commitment to improving the economy of his constituents, Ibezim disclosed: “As we face the year’s farming period, we have successfully distributed seedlings to over 250 farmers in all the six local governments of Imo North District after giving a workshop programme on how to achieve maximum agricultural yields.”

He did not stop at distribution of seedlings, which to place on the campus of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, in Nsu, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, the senator also gave out bags of fertilizers to farmers in the zone to assist in enhancing productivity of their agricultural proceeds.

Ibezim said he was motivated to assist the farmers by the desire to increase agricultural products and food availability in the zone.

Since taking his seat in the National Assembly a little over a year ago, Ibezim has launched very many laudable schemes and brought much needed democracy dividends to the people.
