He added that the election of the Labour Party candidate would change the narrative, a reason Okigwe Zurumee has adopted him as its consensus candidate.
Ndubuaku assured them that the government of an Okigwe Zone son would consolidate the ideals of true democracy where every component unit of the state and every citizen would have equal opportunity to aspire to any position of choice without hitches, adding that Achonu’s leadership would be devoid of rancour and acrimony, but aimed at healing wounds and restoring lost hopes.
Okigwe Zurumee explained that their support for Achonu would sustain democracy and its principles in the state and expressed optimism that with the right inputs, the November election would be a walk over in favour of the Labour Party flag bearer.
Other prominent Okigwe sons present at the meeting harped on the need to support Achonu, fondly called Agu Otu Aka (One-Arm General), insisting that the decision remains the shortest route for Okigwe Zone to occupy the number one position in the state.
“We have listened attentively to the message brought by our brothers and sisters from Okigwe Zone and that we see reason with their presentations.
