Kwara State Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Adedotun Ajala despite the criticism which trails the appointment of Senator Ishaku Abbo as a patron of the guild has threw his weight behind Abbo’s appointment.
Ajala while reacting to the appointment told our reporter that Abbo is eminently qualified for the appointment.
“I’m in support of Senator Abbo’s appointment as AGN Patron. He erred and had tendered his apology to the woman he offended and even to women in general,” Ajala argued.

Abbo, Nigeria’s youngest senator dubbed the slapping senator, a moniker he earned after a video went viral where he assaulted a shop attendant at a sex toy shop in Abuja, is the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial district.
Abbo was honoured as the National Patron of AGN at the 9th Biennial Lecture and launch of Operation Last Dance an advocacy film for the Nigerian Army.
Since the announcement of the appointment, reactions have trailed the development while many are making reference to the assault.
