I’ll sign death warrant of convicted bandit informants – Gov Idris vows

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has vowed that he would sign death warrant of any person working as informants to bandits in the state.
Speaking during a  condolence visit to the inhabitants of Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom of Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area on Saturday, Idris said he would he would not hesitate to sign such a warrant.
He flayed the recurrent attacks by bandits in the state, describing as devilish the act of passing information to the bandits.
“The activities of informants defy all norms and religious doctrines. Just for a pittance, some miscreants will provide valuable information to bandits to perpetrate mayhem against their own people,” Idris said.
“I will never condone or be lenient with such unscrupulous persons.
“Let it be known to the informants that whoever is convicted for volunteering information to bandits leading to the killing of innocent souls, I will sign his death warrant instantly.”
The governor assured the people that his administration would not repent in it’s support for the security agencies, especially in the areas of  logistics, welfare of troops and other material requirements for combat readiness and operational successes.
He also promised to grant the request to immediately rehabilitate the three-kilometre road linking the village with Wasagu.
