Ikpea warns Nigerians to be wary of  “fake” supporters club

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has warned the general public to be mindful of some individuals and group of persons, parading themselves as members of the club and have also commenced activities that might involve swindling of unsuspecting members of the public.
National Chairman of NFSC, Rev Samuel Ikpea gave the warning in Lagos when he formally announced plans of the club to support all the national teams set to participate at the FIFA World Cups and the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
According to the supporters club boss the warning became imperative to save the general public from the likely embarrassment and deals which such people are coming up with.

“Let me use this opportunity to state clearly that information filtering in indicates that some persons or groups are not only parading themselves as members of the supporters club but have also commenced activities that involve financial deals. We want to warn that the Nigeria Football Supporters Club has no link with such bodies. Before dealing with any of such bodies on behalf of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, endeavor to get clarification from the national headquarters because the club that has been in existence for more than six decades has an imagine to protect,” Ikpea warned.
