However, the court will, on Tuesday, determine whether to grant the ball application of the proprietor of the Ibadan based radio station, Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, or not.

The trio were remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre last year for organising a children funfair at Islamic school which resulted in a stampede where about 40 children were killed.

On Tuesday, their bal application were heard with the prosecution team led by the Oyo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, SAN.

The prosecution told the court to give it more time to investigate the incident leading to the court presided by Justice Olawoyin adjourning the hearing of the applications filed by Naomi and Fasasi to next week. There was tight security within the court premises with the presence of heavy deployment of security operatives.

Governor Seyi Makinde had, on Monday said he has been receiving calls from some individuals pressuring him to grant leniency to the suspects.

He, however, noted that while he was not against the trio being granted bail by the court, all those involved in the stampede must face trial no matter their status in the society.
