Just a couple of weeks ago, popular Nigerian On-Air Personality, Do2tun, was celebrating with family and friends after he acquired a luxury apartment in one of the highbrow neighborhoods of Lagos.
With different shades of colour in his hair, fancy clothes, shoes, and sunglasses (add the flashy cars) the “energy gad” as he is fondly called should be able to afford such an apartment. Why not? But who would have thought Do2tun once lived in a room apartment with his parents? Some won’t believe it but then, that’s Dotun’s story. He narrated his journey to a mammoth crowd at Ikeja City Mall, Lagos where he was the hypeman at MTN TurnItUp activation.

Just like Do2tun, some of the audience also got to share their stories in a bid to get empowered by MTN. Do2tun got emotional when one of the young men shared his ‘struggle story’. He had been to several media houses for a chance to showcase his musical talent all to no avail. The man’s pain caught Dotun’s attention enough for him to share his ordeal on how he once trekked from Ojuelegba to Victoria Island in Lagos.
He promised to take the young man as a mentee and ensure that he gets the support that would spur him to success. Do2tun is a major part of Turn It Up launched recently by MTN. Turn it Up is an initiative geared at encouraging Nigerians to look within and get creative in solving their challenges. The campaign was also launched with an inspiring TVC and a promise by MTN to support Nigerians in their quest to attain success.
