Telecoms giant Huawei has been given a remarkable recommendation by the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, owing to the approval of the technology by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at its sitting of 19th May, 2021.
The technology company is recognized as a global leader in ICT Solutions with a worldwide expert’s presence in over 180 countries including Nigeria.
For the past two decades, Huawei has been consistent and determined in transforming the Nigeria Telecom Industry with the provision of digital technology infrastructure and smart devices. Remarkably, the Committee strongly recommends the organization for continued ICT infrastructure deployment in Nigeria, including the Fifth Generation Mobile Broadband Network (5G).
The Committee has severally interfaced with Huawei, evaluated the enormous activities of the company and convinced that the organization holds an outstanding reputation and processes the high level expertise and capacity in information and communication technology required to upscale Nigeria’s ICT demands.
The safety and dependability of the 5G Network by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy and other relevant stakeholders and other stakeholder further strengthens the Committee’s recommendation of Huawei.
The Committee further relies on the approval of the technology by the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at its sitting of 19th May, 2021.
