Traders at Eke Awka market in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State were on Wednesday morning horrified to see the headless corpse of an alleged cultist inside the market.
The deceased, who was identified as Igwe Omeli, an alleged notorious cultist, who was always used by the market leaders to collect tolls, was killed by persons suspected to be cultists, belonging to a rival gang.
Omeli was not only killed and beheaded, his manhood was also sliced off and taken away, leaving only his trunk behind.

He was reportedly killed about 7 am after making futile attempt to
escape but had successfully alerted his gang members before he was overpowered and killed.
According to a source: “His head was cut off, including his manhood, and his assailants took them away, leaving the trunk lying inside a line in the market.”
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the state’s Police spokesman, confirmed the killing.
