Residents of Ebenato in Awo Idemili Local Government Area of Imo State, were on Wednesday horrified when suspected unknown gunmen invaded the home of a lawmaker in the state and beheaded his gateman.
The house of the lawmaker, Hon. Ekene Nnodumele, representing Orsu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, was also razed as well as that of the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprain Charles Akaolisa.
Burning the houses of prominent politicians seems to be the new trend in the spiralling violence going on in Imo State.
So far, the country homes of Governor Hope Uzodinma and his information commissioner, Declan Emelumba, have suffered sa imilar fate.
