High level manipulation of Card Readers and hijacking of presidential ballot papers at polling booths in Imo

High level pre-loading of Card Readers and hijacking of presidential ballot papers have been reported in many wards and polling units across Imo State at the on-going elections.

Reports reaching the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Situation Room from party agents showed that in some polling booths the card readers had been pre-programmed at up to 800.

This is also as there have been wide-spread hijacking of presidential ballot papers by APC agents in the state.

In the Alvan polling booth in Owerri Municipal Council, accreditation is yet to start due to non-delivery of result sheets. In the same booth, one of the card readers is reported to be having about 110 already programmed into it.
Also in Ikeduru Ward 1, the card reader is reported to be having 800 already pre-programmed into it. This, the report stated, is making it impossible for the card reader to accept more input.
Meanwhile, wide-spread hijacking of presidential ballot papers have also been reported in Oguta, Ehime Mbanu, Owerri Municipal and other local governments and wards.
