He’s a great mobilizer: Peter Obi’s visit to Femi Kuti stirs reaction

Days after Femi Anikulapo-Kuti slammed the supporters of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and allegedly called them Zombies, Obi visited the Afrobeat musician in his home in Lagos.

Obi who went in the company of Charles Oputa, popularly called Charly Boy was seen sitting in the Afrobeat Maestro’s home with his son Made.

Obi’s visit has melted the hearts of netizens who called a grassroots mobilizer.

Columbus tweeted:

“The Bias media tried to Turn Femi Kuti against OBidients but here we are.

Peter Obi is Winning the Media war without saying a word.

Peter Obi is one hell of a Mobilizer,” he said.

Another Twitter user said: 

Femi is Obidient na the news media quoted him out of context earlier on Nigerians are ready to correct the Buhari mistake.

Femi Kuti released a video on social media on August 12, 2022, in which he alleged that Obi’s supporters are threatening to burn down his shrine.

“ I woke up today to see people abusing me, my wife and my children and threatening that they will burn the shrine because they said I said Peter Obi’s supporters are Zombies.

He said he never called the supporters of the Labour Party’s candidate zombies but that he is too sad and depressed to be Obedient, a term which Obi’s supporters called.

He said he wondered how they can be obedient in Nigeria after so many killings.

He denied calling Obi’s supporters Zombies, saying he just did not like the term obedient.

He said he does not support any of the top leading contestants for the 2023 presidential elections.
