The final journey home of late Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh, on Sunday, kicked off with a funeral service which held at the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church, NAF Base, in Abuja.
The service, which has the Chief Mourner Mrs. Mary Iya Badeh, is being attended by top retired and serving military, police, paramilitary officers as well as top government functionaries, friends and relatives of the late Air Force officer.
Mrs. Badeh arrived the church at exactly 4:40p.m. for the service schedule to begin at 5:00p.m.

Mrs. Badeh was received by sympathisers who stormed the church in their thousands.
Other sympathisers included members of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), Nigerian Air Force Officers Wives Association (NAFOWA) and the Nigerian Navy Officers Wives Association(NOWA).
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Chief of the Naval Staff, (CDS) Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete-Ekwe Ibas were also in attendance.
