President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with some selected traditional rulers at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
The foremost monarchs meeting with the president were being led by the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
The Sultan is the Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in Nigeria.
The delegation at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, included the Ooni of Ife, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II); Emir of Kano, Emir of Fika, Tor Tiv, and Chairman of Imo State, Council of Traditional Ruler, among other notable kings and title holders.
The agenda of the meeting was not immediately known.
However, it was believed that the traditional rulers might be meeting the president in order to offer advice on how to solve the challenges facing the country in view of the fallout of the recent#EndSARS protests.
