Kawarau Rafi village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State was invaded by gunmen suspected to be bandits, who killed the Chief Imam of the village, Danleeman Isah.
The bandits also killed the Sarkin Yaki of Godogodo, Mr Yohanna Abu, in another attack. The Kaduna State Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, explained in a statement that the bandits moved straight to Isah’s residence and shot him dead in a suspected premeditated murder and left the area without taking anything or hostages.
This has fueled speculations that his murder was not unconnected to his vocal stance against the killing and kidnapping of innocent citizens by bandits.
In a similar development, the security operatives reported that a gang of kidnappers had killed the Sarkin Yaki of Godogodo, Mr Yohanna Abu.
The gunmen had reportedly attacked Nisama village in Jema’a Local Government Area on Friday night where they abducted Abu alongside another resident, Charles Audu.
Audu was lucky to escape during a struggle that ensued between them and the kidnappers, who shot Abu dead.
