A pro-democracy organisation, Nigeria Peace Advocacy Group (NPAG), has praised the commitment of Buhari’s administration towards the development of the country and stabilization of the polity that had been making the people happy and hopeful.
The leader of the group, Comrade Omolola Olukayode, in a chat with our correspondent in Ota, Ogun State Thursday said, though the administration has thus succeeded in keeping the country intact as one and indivisible entity, the citizenry would still continue to act Oliver Twist by asking for more..
According to Olukayode, the President’s assurance that the power supply would improve this year 2020 was a welcome idea that would guarantee rapid development of all the economic sectors in the country and thus move the country forward to the next level of economic upliftment and financial autonomy of the citizenry.
Speaking further, the human right crusader also thanked God for the advent in this administration, of the Minister for Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), who’s Ministry, has been endearing the administration to the people through its efforts at giving the country a befitting road network which are being applauded even by the opposition.
The rights activist therefore enjoined the good people of Nigeria to appreciate God for the administration that is guaranteeing dividends of democracy to the citizenry irrespective of political leaning, social divides or religious affiliations.
The concerned activist reminded the people of the glorious achievement of the administration through Fashola on the brand new road networks across the country, being praised by everybody including the opposition, 2nd Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and others, according to him, are good examples of Fahola’s continuous achievements in office. While adding that, Fashola has revived National Housing Programme that was abandoned 34 years ago with mortgage scheme that would guarantee affordable shelter for Nigerians, the group leader therefore urged the administration to keep on keeping its eyes on the ball and ignore any form of detraction. “President Muhammadu Buhari deserves kudos for being focused and having his eyes on the ball. We assure him of our members’ maximum support and warn detractors and keep off the track of progress the administration has assured commitment to embark on. “And if undeserved detraction, destructive criticism and act of pull him down persist from detractors; they should be prepared for the wrath of the people that would take on them headlong in conformity with the law of the land,” Olukayode declared. Concluding, the boss therefore enjoined all Nigerians to give this administration a huge support to encourage it to take the country to the promise land of milk and honey where the generality of Nigerians would be more happy and contented. |
