Two Co-Founders and pioneer interim Co-Coordinators of the group, Dr. Sunday Alayemi and Mr. Rafiu Adeoye Popoola Esqr. informed our reporter that the main objective of founding the NGO was to give back to the community what the community gave them when they did not even know the value of what the community was offering them on a platter of gold.

And when going through the group’s record, it was discovered that the members that are scattered across the world have done a lot to the admiration of the indigenes of the town within and outside the country.

The project already carried out to completion and others under construction are:

Renovation of Igbaye Community High School that now wears a new look, several Transformers refurbished, replaced or repaired, turning around of an old Post Office to look modern, remodelling of an ancient Court Hall to also serve as Town Hall, and extra hour tutorial teaching for community high school students to help with their studies.

Others include but not limited to; Skill Acquisition Training to facilitate loan for them for small/ medium scale businesses, Pastor/Imam Peace & Unity Team established for inter religious activities, as well as marking for renovation the town’s Health Centre renovation.

The exact cost for the hall could not be immediately known as Alayemi and Popoola said, “calculation is still on-going,” but they quickly disclosed that, “members across Nigeria and in the Diaspora have been sending in their donations in cash in in kind towards the project.

While commending the contributors and donors, the Interim Co-Coordinators urged them not to look back in their efforts at placing the name of the town firmly on the world map, enthusing that, “the town has all what it takes to rub shoulders with who is who in the world in terms of academic excellence, intellectual capacity, political acumen and entrepreneurial capability.
