Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokto State has not declared his intention to contest for President as has been reported by some social media outfits, says his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello.
In a statement released by Bello, he said news making the rounds that his principal has signified his intention to run for the Presidency in 2023 was false and misleading.
The statement read thus, “For the avoidance of doubt, nothing can be further from the truth than this. Governor Tambuwal has not declared his political intention in recent times.

“So, the news about his running for the highest political office is a figment of the imagination of some overzealous social media activists.
“For this reason, the governor dissociates himself from such fabricated misinformation and misleading reportage.
“The governor posits that his focus now is on delivering good governance and the dividends of democracy to the people of Sokoto State.”
