Gov. Sule meets with district heads over security, COVID-19

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has met with districts heads from across the state, with a view to seeking their views and assistance on how best to address the security challenges confronting the state, especially banditry and kidnapping.

Governor Sule met with all the district heads from across the state, at the late Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, on Wednesday.

According to the governor, the meeting which was at the instance of the state government,  will also accord his administration the opportunity to rob minds with the district heads towards sustaining the much needed awareness on the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

On the issue of security, Engineer Sule noted that with the district heads being closer to the people at the grassroots,  they are in position to advice and guide the government, as well as work together,  on how to approach the challenges confronting the state.

Commenting on the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic,  the Governor warned that the virus is still active, urging the district heads to not only convey government’s concerns on the issue, but also assist in creating awareness for the people at the grassroots.

While thanking all those who attended the meeting, especially the Emir of Lafia,  HRH Justice Sidi Bage,  who doubles as the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Traditional Rulers, Engineer Sule explained that the meeting afforded him with the opportunity to meet and interact with the district heads, with a view to understanding their challenges.
