Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared three-day mourning for those who died in the BRT train accident, on Thursday morning.
Recall that a BRT staff bus conveying workers of Lagos State Government to the state’s Secretariat, Alausa, was involved in a fatal accident when the bus collided with a train at the PWD bus stop.

The bus which conveyed 85 state workers had two dead on the spot while four later died at the LASUTH hospital.
The bus number 33, one of the fleets of the state government staff buses was coming from Isolo on Thursday morning at 7:30am heading to Alausa.
At the PWD rail crossing, the driver attempted to make a dangerous turning but was caught up with the incoming train which dragged it to another spot.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who visited the victims at the hospital, announced suspension of all political campaigns and ordered half day work for state workers starting from Friday beginning from 12:00pm.

He also ordered flag to be flown at half mast.
It was gathered that 42 suffered moderate injuries, 29 on severe injury, eight on mild injury while six have been confirmed dead.
The governor also thanked governorship candidate of the PDP, Olajide Adediran (Jandor) and the candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour for visiting the scene of the accident.
