Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has inaugurated the new 22-kilometre Kamba- Dolekaina road in Dandi Local Government area of the state.
The road was reconstructed at the cost of N2.3 billion. Bagudu inaugurated the project during the APC Gubernatorial Campaign in Kamba area of Dandi Local Government on Friday.
“The road will vigorously pursue the development of border towns, villages as well as those along river bank by providing the essential socio-basic amenities,” he said.

The governor advised the people in the area to use the opportunity of easy access provided by the new road to improve trade and commerce for economic prosperity.
Earlier, the state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Atiku Bunu, had explained that the 22-kilometre road was awarded to CGC Nigeria Limited at the cost of N2.328 billion.
He said that the Dole-Kaina-Buma-Tungar Rafi road, a 17-kilometre road, was being constructed by China Zhoghana Nigeria at the cost of N1.437 billion and work was in progress.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bagudu also inaugurated the road linking Dole-Kaina-Buma on the Nigerian border with Niger and Benin Republic. (NAN)
