Gboyega Isiaka hosts Ramadan Lecture across Ogun West, expresses appreciation for support

In the spirit of the blessed month of Ramadan, the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last election, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI), on Monday, expressed appreciation to the people of Ogun West for supporting him during the last governorship election in the state.

Isiaka said this at the 7th edition of the annual GNI Ramadan Lecture, held at the Muslim Central Mosque, Ilaro.

The Ramadan Lecture, which was held simultaneously across Ogun West, had in attendance the President, League of Imams, Yewaland, Alh. Sikirulai Babalola, Chief Imam, Ilaro, Imam Tajudeen Mustapha Adewunmi among other notable clerics.

The Ramadan lecture of Imeko Afon was done in Ilara township, while that of Yewa North was done in Imasayi, that of Ipokia and Ilaro was held at Ipokia and Ilaro townships respectively.

While appreciating those present at the programme for their consistent support for him since 2010, GNI urged them to pray for peace in the State. He also urged the gathering to pray for the success of the incoming administration particularly as it has committed itself to addressing the infrastructural deficiency in the Western part of the state.

He prayed for continued peace in the State and Nigeria, warning that all hands must be on the deck to ensure improved  living standard of the people.

In his message, the Chief Imam, Ilaro, Imam Adewunmi described Isiaka as the scion of Yewaland. He prayed that the senatorial district will witness better times in the coming years.

“GNI is a man of great worth. A man of his character should not be wasted. GNI is too intelligent. He has it all. He has a forgiving spirit and is very humble.” His efforts to liberate Yewaland are very commendable.” the cleric stated.

The investment banker later on had Iftar with friends and associates at his residence in Ilaro.
