He also enjoined the newly-promoted officers to be grateful to God, saying that they should endeavour to put in more efforts.
Oladele urged the officers not to be carried away with the new ranks.
He said that the promotion was an opportunity to continue to contribute to the growth and development of the nation through safety on the roads.
“You have been promoted today and definitely your salaries will increase. Make sure you take care of your families because they have been the ones supporting you.
“The decoration is done simultaneously in all the states and I want to commend our Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi and President Muhammadu Buhari for making the promotion exercise happen,’’ Oladele said.
Mrs Florence Okpe, one of the newly-promoted officers, promised to be more dedicated to duties, saying that the promotion had not been easy.
“I will continue to promote the image of the FRSC and do my job diligently. I thank the command for the opportunity,” she said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that representatives of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) witnessed the decoration ceremony. (NAN)
