Five more patients have died of the Coronavirus pandemic in Kano State.
The state’s Ministry of Health, on Thursday, announced this on its Twitter handle, adding that three more patients had recovered from the virus and discharged from the isolation centre.
The ministry also tweeted that Kano now has a total of 427 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 13 deaths and six patients that had recovered and been discharged.
Similarly, three patients of COVID-19 were, on Wednesday, discharged from the Ondo State Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) after recovering and testing negative for the virus.
With this development, Ondo State now has a total of six recovered patients, who had been successfully treated and discharged.
Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, who confirmed this in a statement, in Akure, the state capital, added that those discharged include “the first Police officer who earlier tested positive in Lagos but came to Akure out of panic; the woman from Owo; the lady who had arrived Akure from Abuja but was prevented from gaining access to her apartment by the vigilant landlord.”
Ojogo further disclosed that seven of the 13 confirmed cases in Ondo State were still receiving treatment at the IDH.
