A fire outbreak at the Ogbomoso residence of the late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, has claimed two lives.
Confirming the incident, Mr. Oluwaseyi Awogbile, the Sector Commandant of State Fire Service, Ogbomoso command, said, the fire outbreak took place at about 7:30. a.m on Monday, December, 18, 2023.
He added that the cause of the fire was yet unraveled as at the time of filing this report.
However, Awogbile said the service would soon ascertain the cause of the the incident, adding that the fire was successfully curtailed to prevent it from spreading further.
It was gathered that the fire incident was as a result of gas explosion, which resulted in the death of two persons, with another victim rushed to hospital for medical attention.
