FG renews appointment of Prof. Abubakar as CMD, FMC Yola

The Federal Government has renewed the appointment of Prof. Auwal Abubakar as Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Adamawa.

The information is in a statment by Mrs Boade Akinola, the Director, Media and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja on Thursday.

Akinola stated that the reappointment was for a second and final term of four years with effect from April 2.

The director quoted the Minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, as congratulating the medical director on the renewed appointment.

The minister urged Abubakar to imbibe the spirit of team work and ensure that the hospital continued to provide quality healthcare service
to Adamawa and its environ.

Ehanire also advised the medical director to focus more on effective service delivery to build public trust in the health sector.

This, the minister said, could be achieved by treating patients with respect.

He further charged the medical director to endeavour to improve on the achievements already attained at the hospital and to
justify the confidence reposed in him.

Ehanire also advised the medical director to work with stakeholders in the sector for harmony and support the
achievement of President Muhammadu Buhari’s agenda. (NAN)
