The Federal Government has added additional N10,000 to it’s proposed intervention funds to its workers.
Initially, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved N25000 but on Sunday upped provisional wage award for all Federal Government workers to N35,000.
The money to be paid all treasury-paid federal government workers will be paid for six months.
The increment was reached, as part of consultations between with a Federal Government delegation that met with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

Mallam Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, in a statement disclosed the outcome of the meeting with the Organised Labour and urged to jettison their planned strike action.
He added that dispute coulf only be resolved when workers are at their duty posts.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has five key promises in its meeting with the Labour leaders, which continues today.
They included;
1. The Federal Government announced N25,000 (now increased to N35,000) only as a provisional wage increment for all treasury-paid federal government workers for six months.
2. The Federal Government is committed to fast-tracking the provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to ease public transportation difficulties associated with the removal of PMS subsidy.
3. The Federal Government commits to the provision of funds for micro and small-scale enterprises.
4. VAT on diesel will be waived for the next 6 months.
5. The Federal Government will commence payment of N75,000 to 15 million households at N25,000 per month, for a three-month period from October-December 2023.
However, the Organised Labour is yet to react to the proposal.
