A pro-democracy group, The Progressive Pathfinders, on Wednesday, in Lagos State, organised an interdenominational prayer for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to become victorious on Saturday, February 25 at the presidential poll.
Organisers also extended the prayers to all other contestants for the National Assemblies-Senate and the House of Representatives under the umbrella of the APC on that day.

National President of the group, Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ajose, who led other members to the prayer session told the gathering consisting of pressmen, well wishers and APC sympathizers also told the gathering that the prayer was also for hitch-free poll devoid of violence before, during and after the election.
Other notable members of the group present included its Director-General, Comrade Dele Ogunsakin, Comrade Popoola Ajayi, Chief Alhaja Muinat adebukunola Ogun and Comrade Ahmed Abiuwa, Prophet Bola Shonekan, among others.
Leading the Islamic scholars at the event were Imam Sheikh Ishaq Adebayo Tejidini, Alhaji Dauda M. Sanni and Imam Muhideen Olatunde. On the side of the Christian Clerics were Pasto E. B. Olutope, Rev. Prophet Jibola, Venerable Most Tope Olagoroye and others.
Crux of their prayers is victory for Tinubu and all other candidates of the APC across board including the re-election of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. kadir Obafemi Hamzat. They also beseeched the almighty God to protect Nigeria from the hands who might want to cause trouple that would introduce violence and enmity that would distrupt the peace of the country before, during and after the election.
Dr. Sunny Ajose, National Chairman of the group in a special interaction with the media called for support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Candidate (APC) to emerge as the winner in the Saturday elections.
He said that the prayer was organized to seek the face of God for Tinubu and all the candidates of the party to succeed in the election pointing out despite what is happening around in recent times, the nation is prepared and determined to put the person that will deliver Nigeria from all the current situations.
His words: “I can assure you that despite what is happening out there now. The nation is prepared and determined to put in the person that will deliver Nigeria from all the current situations and Asiwaju Tinubu is the one that can do it.

“He has the intellect, determination and what it takes to do it. I am sure that he has the capacity to make Nigeria great again. You will see that by the time Asiwaju gets in things will change for the better,” he said.
Also, Comrade Dele Ogunsakin, Director General of the group said Nigerians believe in prayer, that it is important for one to pray to God for help in whatever one plans to do.
He expressed optimism that Tinubu will win in the coming election because he has worked directly with him in the past and that he knows he is capable of doing well if given the mandate.
“A lot of things will change if Tinubu emerges as president through next Saturday’s election. I was with him in the past, he has the magic wand, expressing the assurance that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) is ready to conduct credible elections with what he has seen so far.
