Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has approved the immediate termination of appointment of the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), Mr Ayo Adegbite.
The letter conveying the termination of appointment was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yinka Oyebode, directed Adegbite to hand over government property in his custody to the Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol.
However, the statement did not state the reasons for Adegbite’s sudden sack.
Adegbite was the deputy chief of staff in the Deputy Governor’s office during Fayemi’s first term.
The sacked government official is a close ally of the former deputy governor, Prof Modupe Adelabu.
He also hailed from Ado Ekiti in Ado Local Government Area of the state.
