Factional leader of the Labour Party (LP), in Ogun State, Comrade Oginni Olaposi, has expressed faith in the reconstituted Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal for the state, affirming that it would ensure fair hearing and justice in the protracted crisis over the 2019 governorship election result in the State.
Oginni’s position was contained in a petition to President of Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.
Recall that the Allied People’s Movement (APM) had last week rejected the newly constituted Ogun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, calling for its disbandment.

According to Oginni, “Ogun Labour Party is in total support of the newly constituted panel as directed by the court of Appeal, expressing the party’s readiness to work with the court in order to serve justice.”
He appealed to the Panel, led by Justice Josephine Coker, to uphold the panel and resist all attempts to frustrate its efforts.
“As a Petitioner, we have absolute belief and conviction that the reconstituted Ogun Election Tribunal Panel and in other States of the federation to ensure fair hearing and justice across the nation.
“Justice Josephine Coker is a capable and reliable jury of great repute and that we strongly believe that the governorship tribunal under her watch will live up to expectation.
“It is therefore erroneous for a petitioner or any group of person to insinuate any misgivings or wrong accusations against the newly constituted panel,” he said.
