It was another icing on the cake of his efforts to entrench and elevate entrepreneurship for the President/CEO of Beloxxi Industries Limited, Obi Ezeude, as he was conferred with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurship Award for West Africa.

The award ceremony was held, last Friday, in Lagos, after a long scrutiny and screening of nominees which finally ended in the Beloxxi Industries being the chosen winner on merit.

An award notice letter of March 3, 2020, signed by the Head of Markets (EY West Africa, Ashish Bakhshi congratulated Ezeude for being chosen from a team of eminent entrepreneurs.

“Congratulations to you, our EY World Entrepreneur Award Finalist, and thank you for joining us as we celebrate entrepreneurship!

“Entrepreneurs do more than any other group to make a difference to the lives of those around them by innovating, creating jobs, improving communities and growing the economy, and I am delighted to be hosting you over the two days (5th and 6th of March 2020).

“Our meeting together will culminate in Friday night’s Gala Dinner and Award ceremony, but make no mistake – all of you are winners, and it is our aim to pay tribute to your accomplishments and shine a very well-deserved spotlight on your success.

“Each of you has a powerful and moving story that will serve to inspire and provide key learning points for other entrepreneurs. In our introductory session, we will be asking you to share, in five minutes or less, “Your worst ‘day’” as an entrepreneur – what challenge have you faced on your journey to this point, and how did you overcome it.”

Eventually, at the investiture night, among the pack of outstanding entrepreneurs, Ezeude picked the coveted trophy for creating wealth where others faltered and helping to give hole to common Nigerians through employment creation.

While he received the award, Ezeude, consistent with his slogan, dedicated the award to young Nigerians who he has insisted their future inspires him every day.

He also vowed to do more to contribute to the growth and expansion of the nation’s economy and continually give hope to the younger generation whose future has been made bleak and unpredictable by the down turn in the economy that has in turn spawned joblessness and crime.

The award came as one of the many with which the society has appreciated Ezeude for what he is doing building the Beloxxi Biscuits brand.
