Ex-VP Sambo votes in Kaduna, commends Nigerians for large turnout

Former Vice-President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, has commended Nigerians for the massive turnout at Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Sambo spoke  shortly after voting at his polling unit, along Swimming Pool Road, near Police College, Kaduna State.

“I am pleased with the turnout of people to vote, and l am also happy with the orderliness of the process. I pray we have peaceful exercise,” Sambo said.

Sambo voted around 1:20 p.m. alongside his wife, Hajiya Amina Sambo and other members of his family.

The former vice-president said Nigerians deserved commendation for coming out en masse to exercise their franchise.

He said he was also impressed with the conduct of voters at the polling centres. (NAN)
